Attention all library workers/professionals and hip-hop enthusiasts!
Join us for a special joint meeting with New Jersey Libraries Association (NJLA) Diversity & Outreach, Library Workers of Color, and Urban Libraries sections as we celebrate 50 years of hip hop and its culture. Our guest speaker will be the legendary Ralph McDaniels, the mastermind behind the groundbreaking 1980s music program Video Music Box. As the Hip Hop Coordinator at the Queens Public Library, Ralph will share his experience running the Hip Hop Program at the library and how it has benefited the community.
